Roger's Review |
This book was a surprise for James Herbert’s publishers as they were expecting him to write a “horror” novel and it may come as a surprise to the reader for the same reason. I thought the book was very original and I am sure it will be particularly enjoyed by dog lovers. The story is highly original and I will say little about it so as not to ruin the story. (As a brief sidenote, there is a character called “Rumbo” in the book, who also features in “The Magic Cottage” as a in-joke). Although I enjoyed it, the book builds up to what I thought was a weak ending and I found that rather disappointing. 7 out of 10. |
